We’re proud to celebrate a fantastic achievement from both of our Premier League Kicks teams, who shone at the East Midlands regional tournament hosted by Nottingham Forest earlier this week.

Our mixed U16 boys' team earned the prestigious Fair Play Award, while the U16 girls' team battled their way to a brilliant runner-up finish – a testament to their teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship.
The regional event formed part of the qualifiers for the Premier League Kicks Cup – the flagship national tournament celebrating the very best of youth football, community spirit, and opportunity across England and Wales.
With mixed boys’ and girls’ U16 teams competing, the tournament brought together players who regularly attend Premier League Kicks sessions – a national programme funded by the Premier League Charitable Fund, using the power of football to engage young people in positive activity and personal development.
But the impact of the day went far beyond the pitch.
Players from all teams took part in a StreetDoctors first aid workshop, learning vital life-saving skills and how to act in emergency situations. The sessions helped increase awareness around safety, health, and making a difference in the community – a powerful addition to the tournament experience.
As a special highlight, players also got the chance to get up close with the iconic Premier League trophy, capturing a moment they’ll never forget with a photo alongside one of football’s most prestigious prizes.
A huge congratulations to everyone involved – we’re incredibly proud of you all, both on and off the pitch. ⚽💙 To recognise their achievements, both teams were also given a special moment under the spotlight – celebrated in front of supporters at half-time during our home fixture against Leyton Orient. A proud moment for the players, their families, and the club as a whole.
